It has been wonderful to see the students return to our learning routines quickly in the first two weeks of the term and to hear about all the fun adventures of families had over the school holidays.

We certainly have an action-packed term ahead that includes:

• NED Show incursion
• 100 days of school dress up
• Book week
• Science works
• 5/6 Football and Netball
• Division athletics

Term 3 is the term where staff and students are knuckling down and are uninterrupted for the duration of the term. With that being said, it is imperative that we have students here as frequently as possible and on time. Doors open for the school day at 8.50 and learning time commences at 9.00am.

Parent/carer/Teacher Interviews:

Thank you to all families that were able to attend our Term 2 PTIs. Teaching staff have mentioned how they value the opportunity to openly discuss student progress with families and find ways in which we can work together to get the best outcomes for our students.

NAPLAN:

Last week students in Grade 3 and 5 received there NAPLAN results. We are very proud of the results our students have achieved, if there are any questions regarding these results, please contact me and we can have a discussion.

Building Works:

Over the holidays we had several projects completed at school. Our Wellbeing/intervention room and staircase from the office to upstairs painted and we have had our shade over the sandpit replaced.

1. Describe your perfect day?

My perfect day would start with breakfast in bed, followed by horse riding and lunch with friends. In the afternoon, I'd enjoy a good book by the heater. Then I'd end the day snuggled up under blankets with my kids with popcorn and a movie.

2. What’s a movie you could watch every day?

"Forrest Gump." It's an extraordinary story that never fails to bring out the tears while also leaving me uplifted and reaffirming my belief in human triumph. It shows that even in the darkest moments, good can emerge, making it a timeless tale of resilience and hope.

3. What is your favourite food?

Chocolate - yum! Besides being delicious, it also releases feel-good chemicals that offer an instant mood boost.

4. If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?

Definitely the ability to fly. As a child I would spend hours laying on my trampoline watching the clouds and birds, imagining how magical it would be to be able to fly with them. I think the idea of being able to fly brings a sense of freedom and the ability to go, literally, wherever the wind takes you.

5. What’s one thing about you that you think would surprise people?

One surprising thing about me is my slight obsession with Disneyland. It's my goal to visit every Disney park in the world and share that magical experience with my kids someday.
